NASA, in conjunction with The US Department of State, USAID and select corporate partners kicked off the Launch conference in March of 2010.

LAUNCH is a global initiative to identify and support innovative work poised to contribute to a sustainable future and accelerate solutions to meet urgent challenges facing our society.

LAUNCH has initiated a global search for innovations and innovators, and will channel these innovations into key challenge areas that are the backbone to securing a sustainable future: air, food, energy, mobility, sustainable cities, and the first issue their tackling—WATER.
